TERAPY is a healthy beanbag, the product is the result of a unique collaboration with physiotherapists. The beanbag fully adapts to your body and relieves the pressure on your spine. The filling consists of special EPS – grains and the outer cover of the beanbag is made out of stretchable cotton. Besides that the maxi – TERAPY contains 700 liters of filling, a lot more than a normal beanbag.
TERAPY makes sure you take on a healthy sitting position. Because of the special filling and stretchable outer cover the product adapts itself completely to your body and gives you the support you need. It divides your weight and therefore reduces the pressure on your spine. TERAPY is supported by several physiotherapists. Hans Tossijn, physiotherapist of the Dutch hockey team is one of them.
The product is filled up with special EPS-grains, or so called polystyrene pellets. This is the core product of Styrofoam. However the polystyrene is not recycled; the filling is not made out of Styrofoam that has been used to protect electronics or other vulnerable products. It has not been put through a shredder, it is fully new material of good quality.
This off course depends on the intensity of use; in case of normal use this will be about after a year. However it also depends on your own preferences, some people prefer to sit in a softer TERAPY and remove some filling.
To refill the product you have to remove the outer cover,
There might be some spilling during the refill, therefore we recommend you to refill TERAPY in a room that you can easily clean/vacuum.
The special EPS-pellets can be bought through our website. They are ideal to retain the level of comfort provided by your TERAPY beanbag. EPS-pellets are different from other pellets and of excellent quality. The use of other filling may have a negative affect on the sitting comfort of your TERAPY.
In this case you should contact us as soon as possible, if the product has not been sent yet we can change the colour. If you have any doubts about which colour you should take, you can always order a ‘blank’ beanbag (one without an outer cover) and decide on the colour later on. However, do take into account the extra ₤6,50 delivery costs for the outer cover.
If the colour of the product is not the same as the colour you ordered you can write us an e-mail or give us a call. We will then have a look at the situation to see what might have gone wrong and possibly send you the right outer cover.
If you are having troubles deciding on the colour we can send you a colour sample. Besides that you can always order a ‘blank’ beanbag (one without an outer cover) and decide on the colour later on. However, do take into account the extra ₤6,50 delivery costs for the outer cover.
You can use TERAPY outside, however keep in mind that the product is made out of stretchable cotton. Although the fabric is tough and of good quality, it is better to avoid rough surfaces and not leave TERAPY outside in the rain. Besides that we advise you to not make use of the beanbag when you have rubbed yourself in with (sun)cream, If TERAPY get’s dirty you can easily remove the outer cover and wash it at 30 degrees.
It is difficult for us to say if your cat or dog will damage the product, not all pets are alike. Some cats will love to take a nap on your TERAPY while others might use it as a scratching post. U can prevent your animal from damaging TERAPY by moving the beanbag into a room that is of limits to your pets. In case your pet does damage the outer cover of your TERAPY you can easily stitch the hole(s) without negatively affecting the sitting comfort of your product.
TERAPY might attract some dust, but the outer cover can easily be removed and washed in the washing machine. Besides that you can also spray some special antidust spray for furniture on your TERAPY.
1. Turn the outer cover inside-out 2. Each place one hand in one of the corners of the outer cover (two persons) 3. Then grab one of the corners of the inner cover, including some of the filling within that corner 4. Pull the outer cover over the inner cover, until about half of the beanbag is covered. 5. Turn the whole thing around, push some of the filling downwards. 6. Each grab a side, lift TERAPY up and shake to make the inner cover slide further into the outer cover. 7. Finally, zip up the TERAPY (together) and make sure that de corners of the inner cover are well aligned with the corners of the outer cover.
At first it might be a bit difficult, but practice makes perfect and you will be rewarded with excellent comfort.
Although u-TERAPY is bigger then the usual nursing pillows it is excellent for mothers and their newborns. Feeding your child is a very important and intimate moment, u-TERAPY gives you extra support for your neck and shoulders and enables you to free your hands and therefore fully focus on your baby. Besides that the outer cover of the u-TERAPY can be removed and washed at 30 degrees.
TERAPY is excellent for children, the beanbag is not only comfortable but also very healthy. TERAPY fully adapts to your body, giving it support and reducing the pressure on the spine. When TERAPY get’s dirty you can easily remove the outer cover and wash it at 30 degrees. Besides that the beanbag comes in many vibrant colours.
When we deliver the beanbag it is tightly filled. Young children do not weigh a lot and because TERAPY has been developed to give you support the beanbag might not give in enough when a young child sits on it; causing him/her to slide off the beanbag. To make sure this does not happen, remove a bit of the filling (save it for later use) to make the beanbag a bit softer.
Getting up from a beanbag can be quit a challenge because the product adapts to your body, but also because in some positions you might be sitting lower to the ground. When getting up it is important to push off with both hands at the same time. You can also role off from the sides of the beanbag, onto your knees and then stand up. Maxi-TERAPY also offers you the possibility to sit up straight, making it possible to keep your knees in a 90 degree angle, making it easy to stand up.
You can make a two person couch out of your maxi-TERAPY by adding two u-TERAPY’s. You can make a three person couch out of your maxi-TERAPY by making use of a tube-TERAPY. The maxi then has to be placed against a wall.
With the different TERAPY accessories you can pimp up your mini or maxi-TERAPY. If you combine a maxi-TERAPY with two u-TERAPY’s you can create a couch for two people. If you combine a maxi-TERAPY with just one u-TERAPY you can create a lounge chair. Many combination of colour and style are possible.
The accessories can also be used separately. U-TERAPY gives you extra support for the neck and shoulders, whether you are lying on bed or sitting on your couch. Many mothers use u-TERAPY as a nursing pillow to help feed their newborn babies. The product gives support and makes sure your hands are free, so you can fully focus on your child.
The tube-TERAPY also gives you more support and enables you to turn your maxi-TERAPY into a couch that can fit three people.
You can easily remove the outer cover of the beanbag and throw it in the washing machine at 30 degrees. To avoid colour differences we advise you to wash the whole outer cover instead of cleaning stains with a wet cloth.
The inner cover can not be washed entirely, any stains on the inner cover can be cleaned by means of a wet cloth.
Any holes in the outer cover can easily be stitched, this does not influence the sitting comfort. Besides that you can also choose to replace the damaged cover with a new one; we sell separate covers in al 15 colours on our website.

Check if the zipper of the inner cover is properly closed, if the zipper is not the problem you should check the inner cover for holes. Any holes you find can easily be stitched, this will not affect the sitting comfort of your beanbag.
Although it might not seem that way, usually just a small amount of pellets is lost. You do not have to put them back into the beanbag, the small loss will not affect the sitting comfort.
The product will be sent by mail. The mail-order firm will pay you a visit or contact you by phone to make an appointment for the delivery of your TERAPY (only when it involves big parcels).

For all deliveries within the Netherlands, there is an indicative delivery time of 2 to 3 days, for abroad it may take one or two days longer. DHL delivers all large packages outside of the Netherlands.
